The radiative transfer model applied to the spectral behavior of the agricultural crop canopy studies, consist of an aid-efficient instrument to carry out the use of remote sensing techniques for agriculture. In this work SUITS and SAIL canopy reflectance models performance was evaluated, based on the comparison between calculated and measured Bidirectional Reflectance Factor (FRB) for a soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merrill) canopy. According to this research, it was concluded that: a) both models had a good performance, mainly in red and near infrared wavelengths from 740 nm to 861 spectral range; b) SUITS and SAIL models had similar tendencies, but SAIL model performance was better than SUITS model; c) through sensibility analysis it was found that both models do not depend on the canopy vertical density, and a good precision in the input data for SAIL model, namely angular distribution and spectral proprieties of leaves, is needed to obtain a good performance in the FRB simulation. |
